Automatic Spraying Systems was chosen for a quite remarkable project on the sea for its expertise in the field of fountaintechnology, nonetheless on a luxurios cruiseship "Holland America Line".
To underline the luxurious character of the ship, they chose to integrate a dynamic fountain into the waterworks. The fountainbeams change in a playful way in terms of height en lighting (RGB LED). This makes for a beautiful waterstructure, which is a joy for the eye.
Over the past year, a number of interesting new fountains were built all over Belgium. The dynamic fountain square in Nieuwpoort is certainly one of the highlights.
The city of Nieuwpoort wanted very badly to re-incorporate an abandoned city part alongside the old fishing port at the Albertlaan into its city centre, and to give this area a new economic boost. It did not take long to convince them of the dynamic idea of the cybernetic fountain, which turned out to be perfectly in line with their vision on city renewal. Both this fountain and the extensive changeover of the traffic circulating this square (in order to obtain much improved traffic safety) created an astonishing result. Everyone passing through this area - local or stranger - will agree to that.
A few years ago, Automatic Spraying Systems launched the cybernetic fountain concept into the Belgian market. This idea really turns out to be a true hit since that day.
Several local authorities (Hechtel-Eksel, Aalst, La Roche en Ardenne, Couvin) have understood very well the idea behind this concept: neither the open space nor the square's social function are to be yielded to a fixed construction (the fountain bassin), on the contrary, the fountain's technological dynamics of this open square fountain can be perfectly adapted to whatever vision on city renewal.
To prove that the same concept is also open for other organisations, take a look at the
entertainment parc Plopsa : they already own their version of this dynamic pass through fountain in their childrens' entertainment parc Plopsacoo in the Ardennes, and soon when their new parc opens in Coevorden (Netherlands), children and their parents will be able to enjoy similar water fun there as well.
Soon, also the community of Nivelles (south of Brussels) will see its cybernetic fountain in full force, as well as the city of Charleroi, when part of the Phenix project will be terminated later this year.
